Objectives
By the end of this course, students should:
- understand the causes of wrongful convictions within the criminal justice systems of Australia, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom;
- understand, more fully, the operation of the Victorian criminal justice system;
- have developed case file management skills;
- have developed teamwork skills;
- appreciate, more fully, the concepts of professional responsibility and legal professional privilege;
- appreciate the ethical elements of Innocence Project work;
- have learned to work under instructions from legal practitioners.
